Sighted students learning Braille literacy

Braille literacy is a vital component of blind independence and this half day workshop, open to both blind and sighted students, offers a fun introduction.

Learning Outcomes

This course is delivered with an underlying message about blindness that is wholly positive. Students will learn about the history of this important literacy method as well as its inventor, Louis Braille. They’ll also become familiar with the Braille alphabet and learn how to use a Braille writing tools to make their own text.
